A New Plan For Earth

COVID-19 has brought forth a realisation across this planet: that our system has not been working. Now, we can’t return to normal, because the normal that we had was precisely the problem. But quarantined in these unpredictable times, many have realised that the coronavirus has provided us an opportunity for change—one that will no longer define our species, its functions and its weaknesses, by our economy.

Capitalism has had its time. It has led us through an age of clever advancements, built sprawling cities and fancy industries, taken us to space and to the discovery of things of incredible profoundness—but in doing so has cost us both the planet and our humanity. We have little cooperation in capitalism. We have been born into a selfish structure, forced to choose money over harmony, and we now continue to pollute our planet to the point where it is no longer even habitable.

So what do we do?

Right now we need ideas. Smart, pragmatic ideas. The world is thirsty for them. Hopefully we can quench it.

World in Progress is a book that brings back hope; that brings new ideas and an actual plan intended to solve our problems and put us back on the right track. When neither capitalism nor socialism is fit to guide us into the future, is there any room for compromise? Do we have the time to implement a new system? It’s your time to decide.
