WHAT IS WORLD IN PROGRESS ABOUT?

The World in Progress project considers intelligent solutions to global problems. Primarily, it describes and proposes a new global management system called the Ten-Tier System. This system considers the potential for a collaborative democratic model for the entire planet, facilitating communication and coordination worldwide.

While the system as a whole is complex and multifaceted, you might simply think of it as taking the best parts of capitalism and the collaborative ideals of socialism, without the drawbacks of either, marrying them under a new, unified socioeconomic model.

This Ten-Tier System (TTS) is an all-encompassing vision for a new world. It reimagines a different approach to industry, economics, and politics in a way that is logical and intuitive. With the support of responsibly used technologies, the TTS aims to absolve the planet of its many scourges and drawbacks, including poverty, corruption, overconsumption, overpollution, war, trafficking, and other damaging habits and faults of the human race.

We're in dire need of a unified direction and structure that brings all of humanity together into a new age of sustainability and cooperation. World in Progress offers just that.

But this isn't something you must take or leave as it is. Rather, it is an invitation to a discussion about how we can redesign and evolve global society and walk together into a new era of being.

We're still in the early days of producing content, so you'll have to forgive a slow start and some unprofessionalism while we've been on the move around the world. With better funding and more time, we'll be sure to produce more material:

Food for thought

There is a single thread of difficulty in creating a new world. Corruption.

Creating a future society that operates on principles of fairness and togetherness flies directly in the face of corporate elitism and exploitation. Unfortunately, the people who own and control the biggest and most powerful organisations on the planet do not oft consider themselves part of the general populace, and tend not to consider handing away their riches and power to the masses that are easier to manipulate than educate. Many people suspect that the lack of quality education and nourishment are intentional ways to maintain the divide between the laymen and the elite, thus perpetuating a 'controlling class' of millionaires and billionaires. To give power back to the people and allow a truer, more powerful form of democracy to prevail in this new age seems a problematic concept from many angles,

On top of this, we have greed and selfishness that are enabled by the very framework of society. Though capitalism has served us through industrial and technological advancements, it continues to come at the cost of healthy cooperation, responsible business practice, and environmental sustainability. And while socialism has some good intentions and ideas, it cannot provide a self-sustained structure that will absolve us of grave inequalities.

So what are we to do?

Right now, we may have to take a step back and ask if there is another option we could take — another system we could implement that both the Right and the Left might be able to agree upon. We cannot change things too drastically, as the love for capitalist freedom is something we cannot ignore, and we need to use some of our existing systems and cultures as the groundwork to build on. So perhaps we can use the capitalist principles of a free market, of being rewarded for effort and ingenuity, yet also keeping things fair, controlling our resource consumption, watching our pollution levels, and being responsible overlords of Planet Earth.

Is there such a system? Perhaps such a structure is not as distant and unrealistic as we might first think...

World in Progress continues the discussion through a new lens, with the inclusion of intelligent, pragmatic, feasible solutions that have not yet been considered. You are invited to join these discussions, helping the project in its growth and refinement. The World in Progress book is currently offline, under maintenance, to be re-released late 2024. In the interim, feel free to read some of the articles and blog pieces on the Substack platform, where we will continue to explain some of the proposed ideas for the Ten-Tier System and related topics. Videos coming soon.
